Import the complete package#
Import the complete Assets/ERAGANX/Softbody 2D folder, including its .meta files. The guide's Editor baseline is Unity 6000.3.13f1. The base runtime uses Unity Physics 2D.
Keep the runtime, Editor tools, profile assets and rendering resources together. The separate ERAGANX.SoftBody2D.InputSystem assembly is optional; use it only when its Input System dependency is installed and enabled. See pointer input for the two input routes.
Prepare a Sprite Physics Shape#
- Import your artwork as a Sprite.
- Open Sprite Editor and define a clean Physics Shape around one connected silhouette.
- Confirm the outline closes and encloses a non-zero area.
- Set scale and parenting before generation. Use planar transforms and positive scale.
| Shape | Support described in the guide |
|---|---|
| One simple, closed silhouette | Supported. |
| Simple concavity | Supported, with stability depending on the shape and scene. |
| Holes or separate islands | Unsupported. |
| Self-crossing or zero-area outline | Rejected. |
Check the first sample#
Open Demo/Basic/01-Basic.unity, enter Play mode, then drag a jelly and release it to observe the response. For your own object, continue with the Creator workflow.
Prefab check: save the generated children with their root. The root component alone does not contain the full generated physics hierarchy.
