Advanced & diagnostics

Materials, renderer selection, depth clipping and configuration status.

English guideSource: Unity 6000.3.13f1 · URP 17.3.011 October 2026

Keep advanced capture defaults until camera, geometry and filtering work. Read Diagnostics before adding more effects.

Materials, renderer and clipping#

FieldMeaning
Reflection MaterialOptional compatible display material. None uses the bundled default for the mode. Ordinary water materials are not automatically compatible.
Renderer Index-1 uses the active URP asset's default. Nonnegative values select its renderer list; the selected entry must be a 2D Renderer.
Near ClipPositive distance along the capture camera's depth axis.
Far ClipMust exceed Near Clip. Source Z positions must be inside the capture depth range.
Background ColorCapture clear color. Alpha zero keeps empty areas transparent; opaque alpha fills them inside the silhouette.

Start with material None, renderer -1, near 0.1, far 100 and transparent background unless the scene needs a change. Retain Resources materials for shader references/build inclusion. Reflection output does not modify source sprite materials; Lightweight still needs compatible source materials.

Read the current status#

StatusInterpretation
DisabledThis surface's reflection is off.
Awaiting ManagerNo active manager is scheduling it; use Connect camera & manager.
Invalid ConfigurationRequired reference or geometric setting is invalid; read the detailed message.
Unsupported ConfigurationCamera, pipeline, transform, renderer or sprite shape/material is outside support.
Backend UnavailableSelected rendering path is unavailable for the current setup.
ReadyConfiguration/capture state is accepted. Inspect the actual image.
Capture FailedRender did not complete; inspect Console, compatibility and material/renderer settings.

Validate the visible result#

  1. Confirm Source Camera, an active manager and effective included layers.
  2. If waiting for a capture, enable Editor Preview or Play Mode and keep destination in camera view.
  3. Use Validate Reflection Setup for configuration support.
  4. Inspect actual camera output and a target player build. Refresh stored content after static scenery/light changes.

Ready is a configuration status. It does not prove correct rendered pixels, device compatibility or performance. The sample screenshot's accepted status is not an automated test result.
